Lesson #7: Conclusion & Lathe Maintenance

Given the environment that the lathe operates in, it is imperative that the machine is cleaned with the provided brush after each use, and that the cover is used when not in use. Other than cleaning, oiling the gib ways weekly is the next most important task.

Occasionally, the gib screws may need minor adjustment if you find the connection between the slide plate and the gear box is loose. Even less frequently you may need to clean the chips from the solenoid. Please see the attached video for basic maintenance procedures.

Pro-Cut lathes receive a minimum of 1 year of warranty from date of first use, 2 years when there are certified technicians in the shop. Please take the quiz to become Level 1 certified in rotor matching and validate the 2nd year of warranty!
